Overview

Helouise is a clinical psychologist who provides individual psychotherapy for adults and clinical supervision for psychologists and psychotherapists. Helouise primarily works from a psychoanalytically-oriented perspective which involves working together with her client on a regular basis to gain an in-depth understanding of the client's experiences and emotional life. Helouise is an LGBTIQ+ communities friendly practitioner.

Clinical Experience 

Helouise has previous experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. She has clinical experience in a variety of settings including adult community mental health, private practice, the QUT University Clinic, forensic settings, and a non-government organisation which provides medium- to long-term trauma therapy to individuals and families who have experienced complex and developmental trauma.  Most recently, Helouise has been maintaining a part-time private practice while being involved in the teaching, training and clinical supervision of provisional psychologists.

Helouise obtained the following qualifications through Queensland University of Technology:

  • Master of Clinical Psychology 

  • Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Honours Psychology)

  • Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology)

Additional Information

Helouise is a Sessional Academic at the Queensland University of Technology and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students in the areas of clinical assessment, formulation and treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions. She also provides clinical supervision within the Clinical Psychology Masters program and research supervision for forth year undergraduate students in the honours program.
